Pricing Yourself

Rebecca Kalogeris, Pragmatic Institute’s VP of Marketing, and I recorded a fun podcast on how to think like a pricing professional when planning your own career.  It was titled, How to Earn a Raise: Lessons from Pricing.  You should listen because it’s fun, but here’s a two word summary: Differentiate yourself!

Of course, Seth Godin wrote a timely blog titled Fully Baked  to illustrate exactly this point.  Here are the two most important sentences in his blog.

“The average knowledge worker reads fewer than one business book a year.”

“On the other hand, the above-average knowledge worker probably reads ten.”
