We offer a variety of training and certification options for professionals in product, data, and design. These include courses, supplemental workshops, and organized certification paths.
Courses
- For product professionals, we offer 8 core courses structured around the Pragmatic Framework. These courses provide product professionals with the knowledge, resources, and tactical skills to address complex challenges in product management, product marketing, and related fields. - For design professionals, we offer 2 core courses and 3 partner courses with Designlab. These courses are designed to help integrate fundamental principles of design, UI/UX, and data visualization to support product and drive business growth. Learn more about our design offerings.

Workshops
- We offer a variety of supplemental workshops. These are different from Courses, as they are standalone offerings designed to provide education for specific challenges and insight into practical implementation in your workplace. Learn more about our Workshops.
Certifications
- Certifications require the successful completion of specific combinations of courses and workshops.
- For product professionals, we offer 6 certification paths that demonstrate expertise in specific product topics.
- For data professionals, we offer 1 certification path to demonstrate expertise in data science.
When you complete a single course or workshop, you will receive a certification badge that signifies your successful completion of that course.
To earn a Certification for a certification path, you must complete all the required courses and workshops associated with that Certification.

Data
We offer courses in both online and in-person formats. Online courses may be taught in live virtual classrooms or available in a self-paced, on-demand format.
In-person courses are taught live in public settings with learners from other companies, or in private team trainings with learners from one company.
Yes, we offer self-paced courses available online only. Learners may complete these courses on their own time.
No, you do not need to take your courses in a specific order. However, we recommend that attendees who are new to Pragmatic Institute begin with the Foundations course. Foundations provides fundamental information about product management and the Pragmatic Framework, around which our product management and marketing curricula are built.
Course durations range from one day to multiple days, depending on the course and learning format. You can find the course duration and format on each course’s event registration page.
You can enroll in all of our courses through our online registration portal. You’ll simply pick the learning format, dates, and times that work best for you. If you prefer to register for your course with assistance from a Pragmatic Institute representative, please submit a request on our Contact Us page. To enroll multiple attendees in a course or certification, please contact us via our Team Training page.
Since our certification paths are made up of individual courses and workshops, you’ll need to enroll in the individual courses and workshops for that certification. You can enroll in all of them at once or enroll in your next course as you complete them.

We offer team training in a variety of formats, including online and in-person. Both online and in-person trainings are led by a live instructor. You may also register your team for self-paced, on-demand courses, but many teams enjoy the benefits of live instruction.
Absolutely! The benefit of private team training is that your team can ask questions openly and get candid and helpful feedback from our instructors. Private team trainings can be conducted virtually in an online classroom or in-person, where we come to your team.

Yes. Once you complete a course, training, or certification with us, you’ll get access to relevant course materials in the Pragmatic Alumni Community. You’ll only receive access to materials for courses that you’ve completed, and your access is lifetime and unlimited.
Yes, all Pragmatic Institute learners gain access to the Pragmatic Alumni Community (PAC), an exclusive online community of Pragmatic Institute course attendees. Our community is comprised of product practitioners and leaders at every career stage. Community members seek peer insights, request and offer support for product challenges, and take advantage of continuing education opportunities within the PAC.
We offer multiple certification paths that you can pursue to expand your product, data, and design knowledge. We also offer Workshops, which are short courses designed to support professionals apply what they’ve learned to specific challenges. Beyond our courses, certifications, and workshops, you can engage in thought-provoking discussions in the Pragmatic Alumni Community (PAC). You can also explore our free Resource library of articles, ebooks, infographics, and more. Additionally, we offer live events including webinars, in-person training sessions, and conferences throughout the year.
Absolutely! Many Pragmatic Institute alumni choose to retake courses years after they initially complete their training. That’s because we continually update and improve our curriculum to ensure that course materials adhere to the highest standards of quality and address professionals’ changing needs. To retake a course, enroll in an upcoming session of the course you want to retake. Or, you can contact our Registrar for support.
Yes! Now, you can find Refreshers for all courses you’ve completed in the Pragmatic Alumni Community. Our refreshers highlight essential course concepts and provide more detailed guidance on topics that many product professionals face in their day-to-day work. These are designed to recap the most important information you need to do your job.
If you cancel your registration or reschedule 8 or more calendar days prior to your first course date, you will receive a full refund minus a $25 registration fee per course.
All rescheduled courses must be taken within 60 days of the original Course date.
If you cancel 8 or more days before your first course date, you will receive a full refund minus a $25 registration fee.
If you cancel up to 7 days before your first course date, you will not receive a full refund but you will be eligible to reschedule to another course date. If you choose to reschedule to another course date, you will be charged a $150 rescheduling fee. If you choose to reschedule to another date, you must complete that course within 60 days of the original course date.
If you arrive to your first online course during or after the first break, you will be required to reschedule and will be charged a $150 rescheduling fee. If you miss or arrive late to an in-person course, you will be required to reschedule to an online course.
If you fail to attend your course without providing a 24-hour notice, you will be charged the total fee of all Course days for which you have registered.
If you can’t attend a scheduled course and want to transfer your registration to another attendee, that is considered a reschedule. If you transfer your registration, that individual must attend the entire duration of the course (and, if the course takes place over multiple days, they must attend all days of the course). If you transfer your registration within 7 days of the scheduled course, you will be charged a $150 rescheduling fee.
