Ooops - How’d that happen?

Adobe is developing Flash for the iPhone, which is great news. What I found interest was this tidbit…

Here’s what Adobe’s CEO, Shantanu Narayen had said about the Flash on the iPhone (surprising Adobe spokesman Ryan Stewart, who had no idea about this, in the process):

A little communication breakdown.  Wouldn’t be the first and probably not the last.  Especially in a fast pace market.

Digging into the second post we find…

That surprised Adobe spokesman Ryan Stewart, who quickly noted in an official company blog post that: "No one aside from [Apple chief executive] Steve Jobs has any idea if or when it’s coming. Everyone I talk to doesn’t know anything."

Given that Adobe and Apple are well known players I don’t suspect there was anything more then a few ruffled feathers.

How would this scenario have impacted your launch?  Your ability to control the message?
